Day de Dada Performance Art Collective

Sunday

10–3pm

225 W 14th Street

The Art Nurses troupe of performers create methods to help people explore their creative potential or view their mental or physical health from a new perspective. Wearing traditional white nurse uniforms, nurse caps, and brightly colored wigs, like medical nurses, they act as caregivers, observers, and teachers. Their methods are inspired by modern and alternative medical procedures and include third eye exams, plant manipulation, sigil creation, and hum-alongs. Look for the Day de Dada Art Nurse 'care station' to engage with each art nurse and experience their unique specialty.

Day de Dada Performance Art Collective, founded in Staten Island, NY in 2002, produces events based on the concepts of the Dada and Fluxus art movements, such as chance, nonsense, and wordplay. Their performance art pieces are experimental, spontaneous, and encourage interaction and audience participation. We are excited when you participate with us: Vivian Vassar, Barbara Lubliner, Jennifer Weigel, Eileen Ramos, Mary Campbell.
