Participants are invited to vote for themselves as President of any desired role, whether it be President of Peace or President of Pretzels, at this pop-up voting booth. All presidencies are considered equal, and the project celebrates the right to self-declaration. This interactive experience aims to get people excited about voting without delving into political debates, as part of the #IVote4U national tour. Funny on the surface and serious underneath—on purpose, the artist aims to put humor back in the medicine cabinet for generations.
ivote4u ProjectBarbara Ann Michaels, Jester of the Peace, is a performance artist and interfaith minister who uses humor for humanitarian purposes. She founded HumorVille, an immersive pop-up town for humor and wellness. Michaels performs and speaks on humor as a human right, and her work focuses on integrating humor, art, and love to reconnect people and foster wellness.
