This performance, a tender and grievous expression of care, is a call to softening, a reminder of the tenderness we have the capacity to share. leClaire uses the sunlight and a small mirror adhered to his chest to reflect his heartbeat onto his partner. This transforms the feeling into a shared visual experience. Small gestures give a luminous glimpse into the enriching value of care as a precious act, as leClaire gives his heart to his partner through the conditions around us.
