Passersby are invited to join the artist for tea, snacks, and conversation at her kitchen table on 14th Street for this installation and performance piece. This project aims to foster a sense of community and belonging, evoking memories, creating shared experiences, and honoring individual traditions through the simple act of sharing a meal.

The Community Kitchen Table Project

Chere Krakovsky is a New York interdisciplinary artist. Her early nomadic life led to a search for place, community and home through performance, video, and painting. She holds a BFA from California Institute of the Arts and MFA from Goddard College. Her work has been performed/exhibited at The Corcoran, Abington Art Center, The Kitchen, Powerhouse Arena, and is in catalogues/collections such as Art Omi.
